Power Smoothie

There are times in every college students life when they think “I could fall asleep, right here, right now, and have no shame about the location”.  This time came to me on the train to work.  I figured if I just curled up on the seat and slept for a while I could live with the many stares as long as I got some sleep.  Well that wasn’t an option, and neither was pouring RedBull into the smoothie I was making for breakfast because I was “too tired to chew” (being sleep deprived seriously affects logic).  But somehow, I got myself up and made myself said smoothie.  It was clean and filling but also had much needed protein and other vitamins I needed to keep my immune system up while I deprived it of sleep.

  • Vanilla Greek Yogurt (8 oz)
  • Almond or regular milk (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup canary melon (or honey due/ cantaloupe)
  • 2 teaspoons peanut butter
  • handful of kale

How to:

  1. Blend.*

*that was sassy… I’m going to embrace it/ blame it on the sleep deprivation.
