Festive Freshness

Cranberry and lime is a well known classic combination, usually with drinks, but I have found a new medium for it to work with.  Salad dressing!  This sweet and sour combination is perfect for the holidays and is very simple.  It also utilizes some ingredients you may have otherwise thrown away. This great for a post thanksgiving lunch!



  • cranberry juice ( I used the liquid leftover from the canned cranberry sauce)
  • lime juice (fresh is best)
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • arugula (or any kind of lettuce you like)

How to:

  1. In some mixing device add about 1/2 a tablespoon of cranberry juice, half the juice of a lime, and a splash of oil
  2. generously add salt and pepper
  3. stir
  4. pour over lettuce
  5. DONE
